Ultimate Universe Part 33
Ultimate X-men #89 – Shadow King

Bishop’s team of X-men raid a top secret Weapon X lab where they find Sabretooth, Wolverine-clones and Dr. Cornelius. Wolverine ends up killing Cornelius, Sabretooth escapes, and they return home to Australia. Wolverine finds Storm spending time with Beast who she is seeing again now that she is back. She wakes up to find herself sleeping next to Amahl Farouk, her boyfriend back when she was in a motorcycle gang with Yuriko. We find out she accidentally electrocuted him and ran and he starts to attack her as they are on the mindscape where he teamed up with the Brood and he became the Shadow King. Storm tries to explain it was an accident but he refuses to believe her, the rest of the X-men come in to fight and they all get banished. Storm calls him out for cheating on her with Yuri and electrocutes him in the mindscape and he dies. She wakes up in the medical wing and as she recovers, she tells Wolverine she liked him because he was a bad boy like Ahmal was but she needs to make better choices which also includes deleting her script for Shadow King.
Ultimate X-men #90-93 – Apocalypse

Jean calls Forge’s team to the X-Mansion because Mister Sinister faked his death and escaped. He now wants to kill six more mutants to summon his master so he heads down to the Morlock city where Nightcrawler recognizes him and Sinister starts shooting. The X-men come in and Nightcrawler works to evacuate the Morlocks. Sinister uses his mind control and kills Angel as the final target that he needs and his body starts rising in light. Wolverine then kills Bishop for letting Angel die and on the surface Sinister turns into Apocalypse.
Wolverine inspires Dazzler to not cry over Angel and to go and fight Apocalypse but nobody can hurt him since he can control the powers of the other mutants and then he controls them and sets them to fight one another. Spider-Man and Kitty go to check things out but she attacks him. The Fantastic Four try to get involved but are attacked by the X-men. SHIELD and Carol Danvers arrive but are unable to help and then two figures appear.
They are revealed to be Cable and Professor Xavier who faked their deaths so Xavier could train in the future to stop Apocalypse in the past while Bishop worked with the team in the present. Xavier attacks but Apocalypse is still able to resist so Xavier pushes himself until he is dying and Jean decides to give herself to the Phoenix.
The Phoenix and Apocalypse unleash everything they have on one another before she breaks him back down to Mister Sinister. She then explains she, The Phoenix, merged with Jean and now she doesn’t have to deal with Scott’s shit anymore. She also blames Xavier for leading to a lot of the damage and X-men, removing the events that happened for everyone except the mutants, including restoring Angel but not Bishop to life, and Xavier decides that he is going to help the Phoenix with her mission.
Ultimate Captain America Annual #1 – Favorite Son

T’challa went out to take the panther trial and instead got mauled by the panther which his older brother M’Baku was upset by. M’baku refused to give blood and got more frustrated when their dad reached out to Weapon X for help and he ended up leaving the kingdom.
After the surgery T’Challa is still mute but now has a healing factor, enhanced strength, and claws. He ends up getting taken over by Nick Fury.
Ultimate Captain America Annual #1 – Training Day

Captain America and Black Panther fight before the events of Ultimates 2 because Nick Fury wants to know if Captain America thinks Black Panther should be on the team. Captain America is uncertain. Later Thunderball, who has a big chain ball works to rob a bank and Captain America sends in the Panther who beats him viciously and easily. Captain America in the debriefing asks him to trust him with why he doesn’t speak and Captain America sees his vocal chords are messed up. He goes to Fury who lies and tells Captain America that Black Panther was a mutant and his conservative father tortured him and cast him out.
Later after Ultimates 2, Captain America gets angry about Janet going back to Hank before Black Panther finally has access to a computer and tells Captain America that he wants to go home to Wakanda. Captain America tells Fury this so he gets Black Panther added to the team, Captain America gets a copy of Black Panther’s costume complete with claws from Tony, and Captain America drops T’Challa off in Wakanda.
Ultimate Hulk Annual #1 – No Shoes, No Shirt, No Pants, No Service!

For some reason Damage Control became the Wrecking Crew and Power Princess aka Zarda the Wonder Woman analogue fights them and almost kills them before Captain America steps in. She left The Ultimates and so Captain America tells her to explore America.
Zarda ends up in Kansas and goes to a diner where she is refused service and a nude Hulk comes in demanding food despite the clothing policy. Hulk gets angry so Zarda steps up to him, they fight with both of them hurting one another but Hulk gets staggered when Zarda punches his nuts. She debates killing him but punches him in the dick to knock him out and drags him to a clothing store and then after getting food they have sex.
Ultimate Spider-man #118-120 – Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends

All the teens are having problems – Peter is haunted by the death of Harry Osborn, Kenny Kong knows that Peter is Spider-Man but doesn’t want to reveal it, Mary Jane has a bad job, Liz Allen thinks she is sick, Johnny Storm is frustrated by the inanity of fame, and Kitty Pryde is tired of being the weird kid.
Johnny shows up at school to get Peter and MJ to hang and also to look for Liz who ran away because she thought he was a mutant. He recognizes Kitty and quickly realizes the complex relationship before Iceman comes as well to try and get Kitty back and she rejects him. Johnny meanwhile sees Liz and pleads to get a second chance and she accepts. Johnny extends the invite to come to the beach to Iceman and Kenny as well and they spend the rest of the day there.
While they hang around a bonfire, Liz catches on fire and starts to fly. Johnny tries to go after and she absorbs his power causing him to fall into the water so Iceman goes to calm him down. Everyone despite Liz’s protestations thinks Liz is a mutant and Johnny suddenly has to leave for the Fantastic Four.
Everyone tries to help Liz but she flies off. Iceman goes after and Kenny tells Peter to go as well. Peter doesn’t explain until Kenny makes it evident that he knows his secret. Iceman meanwhile helped Liz land and Spider-Man swung over to talk. They both offer to help her out but she isn’t ready to listen and is generally worried. Liz wants to know who Spider-Man is but they are interrupted by Magneto.
Iceman tries to hold him off with Spider-Man’s help while he ignores their attacks and binds them. He says he is there to bring her to her father who is in the Brotherhood but Liz runs off instead. Liz flies home and her mom finds her naked and she asks who her father is when Magneto arrives. Her mom explains she wanted a chance to live a normal life and that her Uncle Frank is actually her father. Magneto gives the spiel about needing to choose a side as the X-men and Spider-Man arrive, weirdly with none of the new members and Colossus and Nightcrawler and Jean still on the team. Liz tells them all to go to hell and leaves, Magneto heads away, and Mary Jane finds Liz in her backyard. Spider-Man heads over and reveals that he is Peter Parker and Liz finally connects a lot of things. Iceman returns offering her a spot at the school to learn to control her powers and she accepts.
We then get a flashback years ago to The Blob telling Magneto that he found out he has a daughter and that he wants to invite her when she comes to age which Magneto promises.
Ultimate Spider-Man Annual #3

Peter and MJ wonder if they should have sex. But then the next day at school, MJ runs away when she sees Peter and Kitty and Kenny wonder if something is wrong.
He stops a car without a driver that robbed a bank.
At school, Jessica Jones is sharing the news and thinks it was a decoy and she decides to report on Spider-Man and to unmask him. At lunch MJ comes to Peter to talk normally and warns that she is trying to figure out who Spider-Man is. Peter is confused and MJ asks what happened.
Spider-Man met with Captain Frank Quaid who thanked him for the help and asked him for more. He shows Spider-Man the tape of the robbery where a mysterious figure filled the bank with gas – a figure they are calling Mysterio – in polite company – and this was the fourth robbery. MJ decides she will solve this and she thinks someone is on the inside.
Meanwhile we find that Maggie, another cop, is working with Mysterio and he plans to lie low. Unfortunately Spider-Man and the police break in then, Spider-Man tries to punch out Mysterio – but it goes through his head and Mysterio explodes the building telling Spider-Man they will fight when he is ready. Maggie gets arrested after everyone escapes, and Peter goes to talk to MJ and tells her that Maggie was hacking to help Mysterio.
The conversation turns to MJ saying she wanted to have sex but Peter turned her down before and now she doesn’t want to and it turns out this is partially because Flash broke up with Liz for turning him down. Peter does say he wants to stay with her and he wants to marry her and they kiss. And meanwhile back at the factory, Mysterio returns to get something before vanishing again.
